Created in 1991, the dance ensemble Momavali of Tbilisi is directed by Zaal and Maya Chumburidze, director and professor, respectively, of the National Academic Ensemble of Song and Dance ERISIONI.
Its repertoire, made up of tunes and dances coming from all over Georgia, describes the country’s history, culture and traditions. Dances are accompanied by accordion and dhol (drum.)
The dances are named: Adjaruli, Kalta Tsekva, Parikaoba, Mtiuluri, Svanuri, Kartuli, Perkhuli, Samaia, Khorumi etc.
